Domain forwarding is when you type in a given site into your web browser, and it really takes you to another site. This is useful when you're changing websites, of if you'd like to use a "tricky" name. An example is that MY domain name is really "http://www.JasonCardamone.com/SuccessUSite", but I use "http://www.3StepsToWealthOnline.com" all over the internet. The www.3StepsToWealthOnline.com really just links to www.JasonCardamone.com/SuccessUSite...but 3StepsToWealthOnline is MUCH easier to remember than how to spell my crazy last name. :) (Note that yours will be better if it's short, easy to spell, and easy to remember. My 3StepsToWealthOnline.com is a bad example because it is NOT very short, and is easy to misspell.)

So, if you have a domain name registered with GoDaddy and want to "forward" it to your Success University/GDI link, here's how: Print these out and cross out each number as you complete it so you don't get lost.)

1) Log into your GoDaddy account (The gray "My Account" area in the top right of the godaddy home page.)

2) On the Green bar, on the leftmost side, hold your mouse over the "Domains" tab, then left click on the "My Domain Names" option. (It's your first choice under the "Domains" tab.)

3) On the left side of the screen, click on the "Domain Forwarding" link.

4) You should see the domain name you want to forward in the middle of the screen, click on it. (it will likely be a blue link with an underline.) - You should now be at the "Domain Forwarding" screen.

5) There are 3 tabs across this Domain Forwarding screen, "Forwarding", "Masking", and "Help". The Forwarding tab should already be selected by default. (You should see "disabled" or "enabled" buttons you can click on. - Make sure you click the "Enable" button.

6) Fill out the "Forward To:" field. For many of you using GDI, this will be the domain URL you registered when you setup your GDI account. (It ends in a ".ws" or a ".com", ".net", etc.) The link you put in here is the old link you are trying to replace. (i.e. - www.JasonCardamone.com/SuccessUSite)

7) For the "Redirect Type", click the "301 Moved Permanently" button.

8) Click on the "Masking" tab towards the top of this menu. (Do NOT Click on the orange "Ok" button on the bottom right of the screen...at least not yet....)

9) Click on the "Mask Domain:" button.

9) Under the "Masked Title", enter your new domain name. (i.e. - www.3StepsToWealthOnline.com)

10) You can now click the orange "Ok" button on the bottom right of the screen.

11) Now you can promote your site with the "new" domain name you registered with GoDaddy. Make sure to go and test it out and make sure it all works correctly before spending your valuable time & money advertising! :)

(I will soon have a video of this process, as well as everything else technical on this entire training site. Until then, do what you can with the above instructions...I've spent several hours making sure they are the EXACT instructions you need to set it up on your own.)
